Leadership
Jennifer Baird
Executive Director
Jennifer Baird serves as the Executive Director of the Wilson County Economic Development Corporation (WCEDC), leading efforts to attract investment, support local businesses, and promote economic growth throughout Wilson County.
A lifelong resident of Wilson County, Jennifer has a deep appreciation for the people, businesses, and communities that make the county a special place to call home. With her children and grandchildren also living in Wilson County, she is personally invested in creating opportunities that strengthen the community for future generations.
Jennifer is also an entrepreneur and business owner with active interests in Wilson County. Her firsthand experience gives her a practical understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing local employers and entrepreneurs, helping her advocate for initiatives that support business growth, investment, and job creation.
Prior to joining WCEDC, Jennifer spent more than 20 years with the Stockdale Economic Development Corporation, most recently serving as Administrator. During her tenure, she supported business expansion, community development projects, and economic initiatives that contributed to the growth of the region.
Known for her collaborative leadership style and strong community relationships, Jennifer is passionate about connecting people, resources, and opportunities to help Wilson County remain a great place to live, work, and do business.
